Dear Delasol neighbors:
The devastation and heartbreak that Hurricane Ian has brought to so many is very real for all of us. Over the last 10 days, we have seen so many people helping their neighbors, families and friends in the wake of the storm, including through our very own relief efforts in Delasol. We want to thank each and every one of you for your generosity and kindness during this incredible time.
Considering how fortunate our community has been in the aftermath of the storm, and in light of the incredible talents we know our neighbors have, the Board of Directors and Social Committee in Delasol wanted to do something to “go the extra mile’ to provide support for our surrounding community in Naples, Bonita and Ft. Myers. With this in mind, we’d like to invite you, your family and friends to a Charity Concert & Dinner on Sunday, October 16 at 5:30pm in the Delasol Clubhouse.
• Angelo Biasi, our neighbor and friend on Los Reyes, is a talented musician and pianist. He, along with an incredible vocalist, are donating their talents to a concert for the evening — a tremendous thank you to Angelo! Preview their amazing music at: https://vimeo.com/758448847
• The Board and Social Committee will prepare, bake and deliver with love an Italian, Family-style meal to all who attend.
• $20 per person or $50 per family is requested, with 100% of all proceeds benefiting Hurricane Ian relief through www.CafeofLife.org. Bring your cash or check to the event when you come.
• Café of Life, a long-standing, non-profit based in Bonita, is serving some of our hardest hit neighbors in mobile home parks and older homes that suffered flood and wind damage, many of which have now been condemned.
• Specifically, we will be using proceeds to purchase bed mattresses, which are an expensive item that is at a huge shortage for these families as of late. We have established a relationship with a wholesale company, Mattress Direct in Ft. Myers, who will be partnering with us for this, at cost. Another huge thank you to Mattress Direct, for enabling us to maximize the funds we raise!
